Why do things always happen to me?
Is there something that i'm putting out there in the universe that keeps comin back 2 me and kicking me in the butt? I found out today that my cell phone has managed to rack up $100 worth of charges I was unaware of. To add insult to injury, my mom has not paid the bill in two months anyway so I already owe about $100. I have no money at all... so dont let the nickname fool you. I live far from any family and I have no car; what am I going to do without a phone?? I just have to keep pushing forward
I tried to cry today. I couldn't. I can't.
I have to look on the bright side. At least I still have my health. I also recently got accepted to Psychology school at my University. I feel so alone though, even when I'm with my best friends. I shouldn't have 2 deal with all of this stress... school should be my only concern but that only happens in movies.
and that ain't even half of it

Are Those Signs That Say "Caution: Children at Play" Really Necessary Anymore??
Hey,
I didn't have any classes today so I took my little sister to an art museum, because she really likes that sort of stuff. Well I had a great time... but I don't think she had as much fun as I did. First of all, the museum is gorgeous!! There's a pond outside of it and a fountain around back. The building itself is made from some sort of marble from a river in Italy. I don't get to go out much, so I was happy to get a change of scenery. I looked at every exhibit; I especially liked the New Orleans exhibit... I've always wanted to go there. While I was looking around in awe, she just stood in front of the souvenir shop waiting for me. I don't get tweens these days. When I was her age, I would have given anything to get outside and play, go to an amusement park, or a museum or something. But all she wants to do is watch iCarly, Hannah Montana, and those damn Jonas Brothers! She sees nothing wrong with sitting in front of the television set for an entire day with a pint of ice cream.
I remember the days when you had to drive 25mph because a kid playing tag could run out in front or your Car at any minute. Today while driving to the museum I realized something... there were no kids at play. NONE! Its a beautiful day today... school's out for the summer 83 degrees, clear sky, slight breeze. Perfect day for a water fight. But there are no kids in sight. Do you know why? I'll tell you why: because Dance Dance Revolution has taken the place of Physical Education class; because Guitar Hero has replaced endless hours of guitar lessons with the old lady at the end of your block; because watching a 3D music videos on Blu Ray has replaced going to the actual concert. I see my younger sisters falling into this sedimentary lifestyle, and I know it's not just them.
I'm seeing some of these trends in myself too. Most of my professors communicate via e-mail or via chat rooms on their websites, so I don't even have to go to their office to have that one on one contact with them anymore. Even with hanging out with friends, we'll just have a conference on windows live messenger.... WHAT IS HAPPENING TO US!! :p
and that ain't even the half of it,

Summer Schoolin'
Hey Blogger!!
This is my first blog, so bear with me. So i'm juss chillin out right now... i had world lit this morning @ 8, which is always fun! It aggravates me that I actually read the required pages 4 class, but about 50% of the class doesn't. And my teacher (who shall remain nameless until i receive my final grade) never really addresses it or worries a/b it. i guess my reward 4 reading is that I'm actually learning something, but a bonus point here or there wouldn't hurt either!
After world lit my best friend Heather (who shall not remain nameless b/c she holds no position of power that will affect my GPA) called me in a panic b/c she couldn't get on the Internet to buy season tickets to our school's upcoming football season. You just have to know Heather i guess. She is the biggest football fanatic in the entire state of Alabama, and could probably give some Mississippians a run for their money too. Last year, she spent over $500 on tickets alone! I rushed back into the computer lab to order them for her. She's lucky i love her!
As if summer semester isn't eventful enough, my little sister Sharrnique is staying with me this month. Her nickname is New Nu, because she's my mom's youngest child, but there was always something new going on with her that had never happened with me or my other sister. Shes a very artistic and expressive twelve year old... which was great when we lived in South Jamaica Queens, NY (hometown), but its not so accepted here in Ashville, AL... population 1,500: all related! Shes so misunderstood now and she's always in detention for being 'Disrespectful'. Truth be told, she can get a little sarcastic, but i think shes just bored out of her mind in Ashville. I know how she feels, making such a big move was hard on me, and i was 16! She got into a fight a few weeks back with some girls in Ashville who were gonna "prove that that ain't her real hair!!" I had done her hair so beautiful that day because i was taking her to the movies that night. What do black women teach their daughters these days??? to make them wanna try and pull my sisters hair out her head b/c it was "too pretty to be her real hair?" well that's another blog. I think this trip to Auburn to stay with me will help her a lot, if i don't kill her first!! i love her to pieces, but she is emptying my piggy bank :( she used a whole roll of toilet tissue and a whole bar of soap in one day! that was a weeks worth of toiletries for me! I'm a broke college student... come on now sis!
and that ain't even the half of it...
